Follicular Hair Transplant involves the removal of a strip of superficial hair bearing scalp layers from the back and sides of the head called donor area. Then the strip is dissected into fine follicular units with the help of stereo microscopes and then transplanted on to the bald area and recipient area.
The key benefit of this method is to cover broader areas as it gives scope for attaining more number of grafts in a single session. If the donor area permits, one can transplant even up to 5000 follicular units in a single session. Centers that use stereo microscopes and mantis microscopes and also incorporate four hook method of dissection open method will have lesser chance of graft wastage (transection).
Although this technique leaves a scar in the donor area, by feature of the latest innovations in the expertise, this can be decreased by a technique called tricophytic Closure. Many Pakistani by nature tend to develop little thicker & wider scars when compared to western people. IHTI has a developed a technique of suturing by which we tries to minimize the scar as small & as invisible as possible. This method helps in minimizing the scar which is almost invisible after some time and even new hair growth is seen through it in most of the patients.
The survival rate of grafts is very important to achieve good results after hair transplantation. We at IHTI take care in each and every step of the procedure like giving micro slits for implantation, adapting non-touch technique method of implantation; maintain low temperatures and inserting at good speeds resulting in extremely increased survival rate of grafts when compared to the older methods.
The Only center in Pakistan that has more number of highly skilled surgical assistants with sufficient microscopes can carry out this procedure. This method is the time tested one, less expensive and gold standard in hair restoration.
IHTI technique can be called as minimum scarring and maximum survival rate technique
